Now, we all have had our parents, teachers and even mentors glorify education terming it to be the one key to success. Shockingly, big celebrities have changed this mentality over time with some of the biggest stars being high school and college dropouts.

1.SIMON COWELL
If you are a huge fan of Americas got talent,the x factor etc. then you obviously have seen this face. The x-factor judge told BBC “I don’t understand why you would want to torture someone to be somewhere they don’t want to be but actually want to go out into the real world and make a living.” Simon dropped out of higschool at the age of 16.
2.KATY PERRY
Talent they say can make you dine with kings and queens. katy perry, who is one of the most influential singers went through the same path. The American idol judge dropped out at the age of15.
3.LIL WAYNE.
When we begin to talk of hiphop, we can never conclude without mentioning lil wayne. A little plot twist is that lil Wayne’s mother actually asked him to drop out of school. The rap artist actually carried a gun to school for protection and it was for this reason the mum had no choice but to ask him to leave school rather tha risk his safety.
4.JAY Z
Here goes another huge deal of an artist who did not finish his studies. Jay-Z told the press in 2011. “I don’t have a high school diploma or a college diploma, but still for me to articulate, I had to have some form of schooling to articulate my thoughts.”
5.AVRIL LAVIGNE
Avril made the decision to leave school in high school overnight. Her talent and wits made her unstoppable and she decided to follow her heart.
6.ELLEN
The ellen show is one of the biggest reality TV shows in the world. The comedian and host is said to have dropped out after the first semester in college to pursue her passion in comedy and hosting.
7.DIAMOND PLATNUMZ
Diamond who is one of the most popular Swahili artists falls under the drop out category too. He dropped out of high school due to the challenges he had to go through after his father allegedly left them with the mother. During an interview with larry madowo, he said that without creativity, there’s no way one can ever succeed. He went ahead to say that most of his employees are actually more learned than he is.
8.BEYONCE
She is one of the most highly respected musicians and her talent is outright incomparable. Her and jay z are actually a couple and both never graduated. Beyonce is said to have dropped out of high school after which she joined destinys child group for her music career.
9.RIHANNA.
Born and raised in Barbados,The singer dropped out of highschol at the age of 16 and went ahead to join the music industry. She now has her own makeup line called fenty beauty and a lingerie line called savage x fenty
10. CHRIS ROCK
Hard as it may seem to believe, chris rock was a victim of bullying and had to to dropout of highschool and stick to his comedy career. He later skyrocketed into becoming a legendary standup comedian and actor.
