BUT WHY??😵😱😱THE CRY OF THE GIRLCHILD!💦

“Why?Why me?” Perhaps a girl or a woman is somewhere asking herself . Trauma levels have been rising over the years. Girls all over the world undergoing forced marriages and even forced female genital mutilation.Their external genitalis being cut off partially or completely in the name of culture. Embracing our cultures is important although we need not to bow down to abusive practices and customs.Women are as important to the society as men.Why do we want to destroy our own?. FGM is known to be more disadvantageous hence we term it as a “destruction” to women and young girls .It has been known for its adverse effects including:severe pain ,shock ,genital tissue swelling, urination problems, psychological consequences, infections (spread of HIV/AIDS by sharing blades and knives), haemorrhage and also death may occur due to excessive bleeding.

However in addition to short term effects long term effects are more futile .They include:

• Sexual health impairment as a result of cutting of the clit.
• Keloid formation .
• Obstetric fistula and obstetric complications.
• Perinatal risks among others.

We need to push harder the campaigns against FGM. STOP!An innocent girl’s life is ruined.Its a big honour that many organisations have come forward to protest against this for example the World Health Organisation among others. HOPES UP! Soon this will come to an end.DON’T GLORIFY FGM LET’S:

REPLACE THE KNIVES AND BLADES WITH PENS AND BOOKS.

LET’S DO HONOUR TO THE GIRLCHILD TODAY. IT STARTS WITH YOU!SAVE A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
