TRANSPARENCY IN ISSUING OF HELB LOANS

Leaders have stressed the need for transparency in the disbursement of Higher Education Loans.

Education CS Amina Mohammed has said that the government is committed to see to it that tertiary institutions meet the demand in the industry.

The CS urged youth in the country to apply for the loans.

Former Senate Speaker Ekwee Ethuro on his part called for extensive funding of students enrolled in TVET institutions as well as those in foreign universities.

Ethuro, who is the chairperson of HELB, however noted that without transparency, the dream to increase manpower in the country will not be realized.
